Misunderstanding conversation
I am sitting in a new Chinese restaurant at lunch one day. Behind me, two guys at the next table are talking.
I noticed them when I came in. One has slightly higher than average tattoo coverage, but that's not at all unusual in this area. Both are wearing black t-shirts. Normal. The one I can see has a Harley logo on it. Again, not the least bit unusual. Even the parking lot at work -- computer company filled with software and hardware engineers -- contains half a dozen Harleys. Between bites, I hear snippets of their conversation, phrases like "behind the firewall," "in front of the firewall." Pretty typical talk for a high tech place like Austin.
But then I hear "engine." Holy bananas! They're talking about a firewall in a car, not a computer network.
